Objectives of
the Cell
To bring awareness among the graduate and post graduate students on
career planning.
To initiate and develop attitude and interest in one’s career
To provide information for future opportunities.
To develop creative thinking and innovative attitude among the students
community.
To make students self-reliant.
To provide information relating to Career Opportunities available to the out
going students.
To provide information relating to competitive examinations like A.P.P.S.C,
S.S.C, Nationalized Banks, R.R.B, etc.
To provide the information relating to job opportunities available in Public
and Private sectors, besides self employment programmes.
To maintain rapport with various employment agencies and help them to
conduct campus interviews.
Information relating to opportunities for Higher Education.
To train up the students in Soft Skills.
To conduct interactive session with students in the this week of August
every year for final year U.G. students / P. G. Students and collect 10
copies of C.V. and the cell is to monitor the various job opportunities
available. The placement officer is to send C.V’s collected from the
students to necessary organizations.
The students should be informed of various job websites (naukari.com and
India jobs.com) and encouragement should be given to post C.V. directly
since both are free of cost.
Department of computer science and management studies should work in unison
for the effective functioning of career guidance/placement services of the
institution.
The following literature should be available to the students.
Year Books
Compendium of institutions of higher learning.
CD- ROM of Malayala Manorama etc
A Computer with Internet facility should be available in the placement
division
Xerox Facility should be available at a minimum cost.

INITIATING MODULE: Laying the groundwork for a successful improvement
effort.
DIAGNOZING MODULE: Determining where you are relative to where you want to
be.
ESTABLISHING MODULE: Planning the specifics of how you will reach your
destinations.
ACTION MODULE: Doing the work according to the plan.
LEARNING MODULE: Learning from the experience and improving your ability to
adopt new technologies/methods in the future.

News Paper clippings relating to the job opportunities, admission
notifications and personality development are displayed and documented
Important Magazines, Journals, Broachers and Newspapers are made available
Interactive sessions are being conducted with eminent personalities from
time to time
An interactive session with the students was conducted on “How to prepare an
effective Curriculum – Vitae”, and some Curriculum – vitas were filled by
the students with help of placement officer.
Interactive sessions with students conducted on the following examinations
of higher studies.
